Trump claims Starmer will resign as UK prime minister
US President Donald Trump has claimed that Keir Starmer will resign as UK prime minister, in a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday. Trump said Starmer had failed badly on immigration and energy, repeating his call for Britain to open up North Sea oil, and added that he wished him well. Starmer has not announced any resignation, though the Observer reported he could set out a departure timetable as early as Monday.
