M&S Profit Falls 24% After Cyber Attack
Shoppers faced disrupted deliveries and missing products after a cyber attack hit Marks & Spencer's online and store operations last year. The retailer said on Wednesday that annual profit dropped 24% after the incident forced a seven-week pause in online clothing orders and affected click-and-collect services. M&S reported £131.3 million in related costs, while food sales rose 7% and fashion, home and beauty sales fell 7.7%.
