Xbox cuts 3,200 jobs over next year

More workers will lose their jobs as the gaming business changes its structure and studio ownership. Microsoft said on Monday its Xbox division will reduce 3,200 roles during the next year and separate from five game development studios as part of a reorganisation. Around 1,600 positions will end immediately, with the remaining reductions spread across the following 12 months.
