Typhoon Bavi made landfall in China forcing 1.7 million evacuations Saturday
Typhoon Bavi, the second powerful storm to hit China in a week, made landfall in Taizhou on Saturday evening and then Wenzhou around midnight. Authorities oversaw the evacuation of over 1.7 million individuals in Zhejiang province, alongside thousands of others relocated from nearby regions. The storm, which spans 1,000km, has weakened but still carries a huge volume of moisture.
