Ex-defence chief urges 3.5% GDP defence spending by 2035.

A former top military chief says the UK's next leader must prepare for global threats, urging a focus on national safety. Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, ex-Chief of the Defence Staff, told the BBC on Sunday that Andy Burnham needs a 'Moscow test' for policies. He stated that the armed forces' resources are "insufficient" and advocated for defense expenditure to reach 3.5% of the gross domestic product by 2035.
