Judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell’s appeal in Epstein sex-trafficking case
A US federal judge has rejected Ghislaine Maxwell's attempt to overturn her 2021 sex-trafficking conviction and 20-year prison sentence. In a 67-page decision issued on Tuesday, the judge characterised her claims as "demonstrably meritless". Maxwell, currently serving her sentence in Texas, had contended that her trial was problematic, citing a juror who had been a victim of sexual abuse.
