Judge blocks X rival from using Twitter name, but can use ‘Tweet’ for now

A US court has ruled that a new social network is permitted to use the term "tweet" and the Twitter bird logo, but not the name "Twitter". Operation Bluebird, a startup, launched its site as Tweet.app after the judge found X likely abandoned those trademarks. The company, led by two lawyers, charges users $20 to reserve a handle and join the network.
