Jimmy Anderson Leaves Lancashire After 25 Years Against His Wishes

England's record Test wicket-taker James Anderson will leave Lancashire after 25 years because the club decided not to offer the 44-year-old a contract for 2027. Anderson, who captained the county this season and took 50 wickets, said the exit was not his choice. Incoming director Paul Farbrace called him the greatest bowler Lancashire have produced. He has not yet said whether he will play elsewhere.
