Jet fuel surge grounds 296 UK flights this May

Many people's travel plans are affected as hundreds of flights from UK airports have been cancelled for May. Airlines cancelled 296 departures this month, primarily because of increasing jet fuel prices. This figure, recorded on May 12 by aviation firm Cirium, is a significant rise from the 120 cancellations reported just six days earlier.
