Jessie Buckley says she was brutalised on talent show
Jessie Buckley, now an Oscar contender, has spoken about her time on the BBC's 2008 talent contest *I'd Do Anything*. In an interview with British Vogue, Buckley, then 17, said she felt objectified and body-shamed while vying for the part of Nancy in *Oliver*. Despite three judges favouring Buckley, Jodie Prenger won. Buckley, who experienced depression during filming, declined to be Prenger's understudy. She personally informed producer Cameron Mackintosh of her decision. The BBC says it has since improved its duty of care.
