£100,000 gamble wins punter £900,000 at Aintree
A Grand National punter has secured a huge £900,000 payout following a successful £100,000 wager at Aintree. The individual placed the substantial bet on the horse I Am Maximus, which then won the race, yielding an £800,000 profit. Bookmaker Johnny Dineen announced on ITV that the wager represented the most significant amount he had ever accepted, by a considerable margin.
