Government Launches Independent Review Into School Anti-Semitism
The UK government has commissioned an independent review into anti-Semitism in England's schools and colleges after data showed classroom-related incidents doubled in 2025 compared to pre-October 2023 levels. The Community Security Trust recorded 204 school-related anti-Semitic incidents in 2025. Led by David Bell, former permanent secretary at the Department for Education, the review will assess how well education settings identify and respond to incidents. Education minister Bridget Phillipson said the figures were stark, with too many Jewish teachers feeling ignored.
