UK government changes school curriculum from 2028
The UK government announced comprehensive National Curriculum changes following Professor Becky Francis's expert review, implementing reforms from September 2028. Key changes include compulsory citizenship education in primary schools covering financial literacy, media literacy and climate education, scrapping the EBacc measure, mandatory triple science GCSE, stronger reading assessments in Year 8, and new computing qualifications in data science and AI.
