J&J faces first UK lawsuits over talcum powder cancer claims

More than 3,000 people in the UK have filed lawsuits alleging that Johnson & Johnson’s talcum baby powder caused ovarian cancer or mesothelioma, accusing the company of concealing risks. The legal action, lodged in the English High Court, seeks damages from both J&J and its former consumer health arm, Kenvue UK. J&J maintains its talc was asbestos-free; the case may set precedent for many unresolved claims.
