Judges decide Palestine Action ban is against law
Top judges ruled that classifying the group as terrorists was disproportionate and legally wrong. This judgment creates uncertainty for more than 2,500 individuals detained since the restrictions began under Mahmood's predecessor. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood intends to appeal, meaning the prohibition is not yet formally cancelled. Police officers have paused arrests for showing support but are still collecting proof for prosecutions.
