Italy holds talks with Pep Guardiola for national team job

The Italian Football Federation has reportedly met Pep Guardiola in Barcelona, seeking to persuade him to take on the role of their new national team head coach. Italy failed to qualify for a third successive World Cup, with Gennaro Gattuso leaving the role in April. Guardiola, who left Manchester City in May after 10 years, previously said he needed a break from club football.
