Israel Kills Hezbollah's Intelligence Chief in Beirut and Names Its Next Target
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed Monday that a precision strike in Beirut on Sunday night killed Hussein Makled, head of Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters. Israeli Defence Minister Katz immediately named Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem as the next target for elimination. Israel has issued evacuation orders across 50 locations in southern and eastern Lebanon and called up more than 100,000 reservists. Its military chief warned of 'many prolonged days of combat ahead' as Israel prepares what could become a full ground offensive.
