Ireland’s national broadcaster will boycott 2027 Eurovision Song Contest over Israel’s participation
Irish broadcaster RTÉ will not take part in or broadcast the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, citing ongoing loss of lives and a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Ireland's withdrawal marks the second consecutive year, having also boycotted the 2026 competition due to Israel's participation. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS also announced it will not participate in the 2027 contest, which will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria.
