Iran's Khamenei Vows to Keep Control of Hormuz Strait
Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a rare defiant statement on Thursday, vowing to protect the country's nuclear and missile capabilities as national assets and to maintain control of the Strait of Hormuz. The statement follows a US counter-blockade of Iranian ports since April 13, with Brent crude oil prices surging above $126 a barrel as a result.
