Iran's first Gulf oil strike halts 550,000 barrels daily.
Saudi Aramco temporarily shut its Ras Tanura refinery on Monday after Iranian drones struck the facility on Saudi Arabia's eastern coast, triggering a fire that was contained with no casualties. The complex processes 550,000 barrels per day and is one of the world's largest oil export hubs. Debris from an intercepted drone also damaged Kuwait's Ahmadi refinery, injuring two workers. Analysts called it the first Iranian attack on Gulf energy infrastructure. Brent crude surged back toward $80 per barrel on the news.
