Iranian missiles strike Qatar gas plant as oil prices surge
Global oil prices have surged past $108 a barrel after Iranian missiles struck major energy facilities across the Middle East, including a massive natural gas plant in Qatar. The attacks follow a joint American and Israeli strike on an Iranian gas field and the assassination of senior officials in Tehran. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates also reported intercepting incoming projectiles. In response to the escalating regional conflict, Qatar has ordered an Iranian envoy to leave the country.
