Iranian drone hits world's largest refinery, oil prices jump 9%
Video footage circulating on social media shows thick black smoke billowing from Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanura oil refinery after an Iranian drone strike on Monday 2 March 2026. Saudi officials say two drones were intercepted near the facility, with falling debris triggering a localised fire. The refinery — one of the world's largest, processing over 550,000 barrels per day — was shut as a precaution. No casualties were reported.
