Iran tests new air defence missile in Strait of Hormuz
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy has successfully conducted the first test of its Sayyad-3G air defence missile. The launch took place during military exercises in the strategic Strait of Hormuz aboard the warship Shahid Sayyad Shirazi. Officials state the system features vertical launch capabilities and a range of 150 kilometres, significantly extending protection for naval vessels. The drill highlights Tehran's ongoing efforts to bolster its maritime military presence in the region.
