What is air defence?

Air defence is a system of measures designed to protect areas and assets from aerial attacks. For Ukraine, this means defending against missiles and drones, which Russia has frequently used to target cities and infrastructure. These systems can include anti-aircraft missiles, radar, and fighter jets, all working together to detect and intercept threats.
