IMF Head Warns AI 'Tsunami' Will Hurt Young Workers

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva warned at the World Economic Forum in Davos that AI will significantly impact the labor market. Research suggests 60% of jobs in advanced economies could be affected, with entry-level positions being eliminated. Georgieva noted that young people will face challenges as AI transforms the job landscape. She also expressed concern about the insufficient regulation of AI and its rapid advancement. The middle class may also be affected by potential pay decreases.
