Italian FA ends support for FIFA President Infantino over tournament share plans

The Italian FA has officially removed its backing for FIFA President Gianni Infantino ahead of the 2027 presidential elections. The decision follows Infantino's suggestion that shares in tournaments, such as the World Cup, be offered for sale to private investors. Giovanni Malagò, the Italian FA President, said they want to promote football based on merit and sustainability.
