Over 9,000 Britons return home from UAE as Gulf conflict disrupts travel
More than 9,000 British nationals have travelled back to the UK from the United Arab Emirates since conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran intensified across the Gulf. Flight services were widely suspended due to threats from Iranian missiles and drones, but some commercial routes are gradually resuming. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has also arranged limited charter flights, including services from Muscat, while officials are considering another evacuation flight from Dubai.
