The Met Office logged 30 minutes of brightness in Dyce, marking the region's most extended sunless period since 1957. Despite this break, forecasters have issued yellow alerts for snow and ice throughout Scotland overnight. Recent weeks brought relentless wet weather, with Aboyne recording four times its average rainfall.
