Major Apps including Snapchat and Duolingo go offline amid Amazon Web Services outage
A widespread outage traced to Amazon Web Services triggered login failures and downtime across key apps and websites globally. Services such as Snapchat, Duolingo, Roblox, Fortnite and more reported issues from around 8 am UK time (midnight PT). AWS reported “increased error rates and latencies” in its US-East-1 region, impacting its core compute and database services and causing cascading disruptions for thousands of customers.
