RAF's new laser turns unguided missiles into precise drone killers.
British forces are now better equipped to defend against enemy drones, doing so more cheaply and precisely. Britain's Royal Air Force has begun utilizing a recently introduced laser-guided missile system, the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS), on its 9 Squadron Typhoon fighter jets operating in the Middle East. This system converts unguided missiles into precise, low-cost weapons, helping to destroy targets and counter drone threats.
