Meta gets $3.3 billion tax breaks for Louisiana data centre
Local house prices in Richland Parish have jumped over 170% since Meta’s data centre was announced, potentially displacing residents. Meta will receive $3.3 billion in tax breaks for its 2,250-acre Hyperion campus in Louisiana. The $10 billion project will create only 500 long-term jobs and needs triple the initial gas turbine plants.
