Spanish bishops launch video game to boost church weddings
The Catholic Church in Spain has released a retro-style computer game called Level Up! to promote religious marriage ahead of Valentine's Day. Players guide characters Fran and Elena through daily challenges to learn virtues like patience and generosity. This initiative attempts to reverse a sharp decline, as fewer than 18% of Spanish couples chose a church wedding in 2024, compared to over 55% in 2007.
