Barely in No 10 at all: Britain's new PM visited four corners of England plus Scotland, spoke with over a dozen world leaders, and opened Number 10 North, a part-time base in Manchester he plans to use weekly. He cut tax on household electricity bills, capped bus fares at £2 and gave pubs a tax break. July's energy price cap had already risen 13% on war-driven gas costs.
