Hormuz Strait Closed Weeks; Asia Faces Energy Crisis
Daily life and fuel costs across Asia are severely impacted by an escalating energy supply crisis. The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively shut for almost two weeks, significantly affecting a fifth of global oil supplies. In response, countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Pakistan have introduced rationing, with Japan also releasing 80 million barrels of oil.
