Former Hong Kong opposition lawmaker Wu Chi-wai has won permission to remain in the UK for six months after border detention and a deportation threat, his lawyer confirmed on Monday. The Democratic Party veteran risked removal after immigration difficulties, prompting Hong Kong Watch to urge the Home Office to let him stay. He thanked supporters for their backing during the ordeal.
