Sellers cut asking prices on more than 3,000 homes a day across Britain in September, the highest monthly total for 15 years, according to Rightmove figures shared with the BBC. The average reduction was nearly 7%, about £21,000. Reduced homes took 119 days to find a buyer, against 39 days for others, while Zoopla said agreed sales fell 9% as mortgage rates hit three-year highs.
