Holiday Inn apologises after refusing homeless men entry

Holiday Inn Express in Manchester turned away two homeless men despite a Good Samaritan paying for their rooms during freezing temperatures. Staff members asserted that a company rule prevented them from accommodating individuals who were not already registered guests. The men were later accommodated at a nearby Travelodge. The corporation expressed regret for the event, admitting it was contrary to their principle of accepting every guest and that it was not managed correctly. The organization pledged to bolster employee education concerning this type of situation.
