Red Arrows fly fewer jets to save their ageing fleet

Airshow attendees can expect to see the Red Arrows operating with a smaller complement of jets in most of their demonstrations throughout this year. The Royal Air Force is reducing the number of jets from nine to seven to preserve their ageing fleet of Hawk T1s. The team has used these Hawk T1s since 1980, and they're due for retirement in 2030.
