Hannah Mary Goodlad wins Shetland seat with 5,453 votes

Voters in Shetland will see a new Member of the Scottish Parliament representing them after the recent election results were announced. SNP candidate Hannah Mary Goodlad secured the Shetland constituency seat on 8 May 2026, becoming the area's new MSP. She won with 5,453 votes, defeating Liberal Democrat Emma Macdonald, who received 3,936 votes among eight candidates.
