Hakeem Jeffries defends meeting Jared Kushner over affordability crisis talks

America's top House Democrat, Hakeem Jeffries, has defended his private meeting with Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Jeffries said he agreed to the talks after Kushner requested them, wanting to discuss the cost-of-living crisis. Some Democrats have criticised the meeting, with one suggesting Kushner should face a congressional committee instead.
