Haiti gang kills 47, kidnaps 50 near capital

A powerful gang attacked a community near Haiti's capital, killing at least 47 people, including five children, and kidnapping over 50 others. Izo 2, the gang's leader, issued a threat to execute the hostages should authorities cause any harm to his members. The attack, the largest in the area, comes as Haiti prepares for general elections on 13 December.
