Fraudster cons London mother £3,132 via Tinder dating app.

A London mother of two was left penniless after transferring £3,132 to convicted fraudster Christopher Harkins, who posed as a wealthy businessman on Tinder using the fake identity Christopher Telfer. Meeting in 2020, Harkins presented a fake foreign currency investment scheme before becoming aggressive when challenged. The convicted rapist and fraudster is serving a 12-year prison sentence for crimes against 10 women in Scotland, including rape, assaults, and defrauding over £214,000. Investigations reveal he targeted at least 30 women across nearly a decade through dating apps.
