Professor Brkic loses neighbour lawsuit, owes £180,000
A university academic is now liable for substantial legal costs after his lawsuit proved unsuccessful. Professor Daslav Brkic sued his neighbour, wine retailer Douglas Palin, claiming his attitude made Brkic's £680,000 London flat unsellable. An offer on the professor's flat was withdrawn in 2023 after Mr Palin told a potential buyer about neighbourly disagreements.
