Trump says US will acquire Greenland despite Denmark
President Trump has repeatedly stated the U.S. will acquire Greenland, citing national security interests and accusing Russia and China of increased Arctic activity. He believes Greenlanders would prefer American oversight, despite opposition from Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who insists Greenland is not for sale and belongs to its people.
