Government adopts new anti-Muslim hate definition
New rules to address anti-Muslim hate aim to tackle high numbers of related crimes. On Monday, Steve Reed, communities secretary, told Parliament the government would use a non-statutory definition. The three-paragraph explanation of hostility, part of a broader Social Cohesion plan, was unveiled alongside English language provision.
