UK growth forecast to be cut until 2030
The Office for Budget Responsibility is expected to deliver a major blow to Chancellor Rachel Reeves ahead of Wednesday's Budget by downgrading UK growth forecasts for every year until 2030. Reports suggest the OBR may reduce growth projections by up to 0.3 percentage points across the five-year period, while productivity assessments are also expected to be downgraded. This comes as Reeves prepares tax increases exceeding 30 billion pounds to address a substantial fiscal gap.
