9 people killed at US consulate protest in Karachi
At least nine people were shot dead near the US consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, on Sunday after hundreds of pro-Iran demonstrators tried to storm the building. Security forces opened fire to scatter the crowd. In Lahore, a separate protest gathered outside the US consulate but was dispersed without violence. Anti-US demonstrations also broke out in Baghdad, Indian-administered Kashmir, and other cities worldwide.
