Indian-origin family of three die in London fall
A nine-year-old boy named Sid, his mother Aditi Paralkar, 46, and father Rakesh Pai, 47, were all pronounced dead at the scene despite resuscitation attempts by paramedics. The family fell from a balcony on the 36th floor of the Highpoint tower block in Elephant and Castle, south London, on 27 May. Local MP Neil Coyle said police believe Sid's serious health condition may have been a factor in what he called a "horrendous decision."
