Galaxy 45 Million Light-Years Away Eaten By Black Hole

New images are transforming astronomers' understanding of how actively feeding black holes consume material and interact with surroundings. The James Webb Space Telescope recently captured a clear image of Messier 77, a distant spiral galaxy in Cetus. Its core has a supermassive black hole weighing approximately 8 million times more than our sun, pulling nearby matter inwards.
