Drug diversion schemes cut reoffending by a third

New research shows police-led drug diversion schemes are much better at stopping people from reoffending than prosecution. Researchers looked at over 62,000 incidents across 13 English police forces in the past four years. People in these schemes were a third less likely to reoffend for drug possession.
